Robert van der Vijver
Was born in the Netherlands and has been making wine for 20 years. He is also consulting for several other places. He prides himself on being able to make several different styles of wine, so it is fun to make wines for other people according to their palate. His wife Missy makes life good here on the farm, if she is not out defending people from "Da Man".
About Us
Van der Vijver Estate prides itself on old European traditions when it comes to winemaking and food. Everything needs to go just a little bit slower and with some extra care. Of course when you visit us you can share the experience and taste our Barrel aged wines. Maybe tell a story or two to Pa and/or Robert (the crazy winemaker in his yellow wooden shoes). The bottom-line is the Van der Vijver Family welcomes you to enjoy wine tasting and to bring a picnic along for under the Oak trees.

Is often to be found in the Tasting room. He introduced Robert to wine (In France) at the very young age of 6 (Robert's not his) by wine tasting in France. (Yes it is legal)
We love him and when he is not in the tasting room, people ask about him all the time.
